The Morning Mack-Attack
will be filled with upbeat energy to start your week and workday with a positive atmosphere and vibe. The music will focus on the great vibes of the late '80s through the '90s. The show will also bring in some of our awesome KDHX volunteers to talk about the music that they love and feature on their shows. Volunteers will get to know each other better and listeners will be introduced to a wide range of KDHX programs and hosts.

Radio Riot is a joyous journey that invites you to be part of a spirited community, offering a dose of positivity and a riot of emotions. Let the music and conversations be your guide, as Kalonda Kay welcomes you to the Riot with open arms and transforms the airwaves into a celebration of community, support, and love.

What would would you like to share with KDHX listeners and readers about yourself?
I have been DJing and hosting parties and weddings for 25 years now. I am a full-time DJ event specialist who loves what I do and the culture I have created for myself and my family. I am the owner of a DJ company called Phat Mixx Productions. Phat Mixx Productions has been in business for 15 years providing DJ, Hosting, Sound, and Lighting Design. We at Phat Mixx Productions are wedding specialists who love to make sure a couple's wedding day is just as special as the day they were born.

Please describe the inspiration for your show.
I am part of two shows - Radio Riot with Kalonda Kay, Danny D, and myself. I have also decided to have a show on Monday mornings called Mack Attack Mondays. Mack Attack Radio is an hour-long morning show that is meant for our listeners to have energy before or as they start their work day and work week. Play nothing but high energy and fun music of the late '80s, the '90s, and early 2000s. All feel-good music that makes everyone smile, dance, and sing-a-long too. Mack Attack Radio believes "Music is Life, Life is Music".

Why does being a KDHX DJ matter to you?
KDHX matters to me because I love to be able to be myself as an open-format DJ and be able to play all genres of music. I love to play everything from pop, rock, hip-hop, R&B, house, reggae, Latin, and much more. Only KDHX can allow music to speak to anyone who tunes in. KDHX helps bring communities together with music.

Why is KDHX important to you and to your community?
KDHX is so important when it comes to the community because we can be diverse and allow listeners to get introduced to new music. We still have a ways to go but KDHX is St. Louis and we are the community.

What are some of your favorite KDHX shows?
Some of my favorite shows are Time Traveling My Way with G.Wiz & Lady Jock. Thick As Thieves with Professor Elle and Rebel Mae, is an awesome show, The Boombox with DJ Speed, Shake 'em On Down with Ronnie, BFE Radio with Killa Bee, Kut's Klassicz with DJ Kut, Soul Sensation with J-Soul & Alternative Angle with River.

What record do you think everyone should have in their music library?
The one record I believe everyone should have is "Summer Time" by Will Smith. It just makes me feel good on the inside and smile. That is what life should be about daily.

Favorite thing you are listening to at the moment?
At this moment for the summer is feel-good music of the '90s that feels like summer and parties.
