The 2019 Grammy Awards Deliver

From Kacey Musgraves winning Album of the Year to a star-studded tribute to Dolly Parton, the 2019 Grammy Awards finally embraced female artists. The list of triumphs is long, and in at least one case, historic.
Despite refusing to perform at the last minute, Ariana Grande took home Best Pop Vocal for 'Sweetener." Meanwhile, the most-nominated musician of the night, Brandi Carlile, swept the Americana categories. And later in the evening, Cardi B became the first woman to receive Best Rap Album in the award's twenty-year history.
The victories follow in the wake of the Recording Academy launching a Task Force on Diversity and Inclusion to addresses historic biases against women in the industry. A number of high-profile musicians like Jay-Z and Childish Gambino opted not to attend, prompting calls for similar efforts aimed at artists of color. Check out more of the winners below.
