Tune Class Series with Rinn Netherton
St. Louis String Collective Studio
We’ve redesigned our Tune Classes to better meet the needs of folks who wish to build up their repertoire and confidence in an instructional setting. Tune Classes are offered in a series of three sessions that occur once per week with the same instructor.
This November, join Rinn Netherton for our first Tune Class Series. Rinn will teach a simple melody along with techniques such as Nashville shuffle, rhythmic fillers and double stops to give your fiddlin’ that old-time feel.
This Tune Class Series is best suited for beginning to intermediate players with at least 2 years experience on their instrument (you should be able to play a fiddle tune all the way through at a normal tempo, roughly 100bpm).
Listen to the tune a few times to help you prepare for class on our YouTube channel. Bring your instrument and - if it helps you learn - a recording device (cellphone) or a notebook and pencil.
Dates: November 3rd, 10th, and 17th
Time: 3:00 - 4:00 pm
Registration closes Monday October 28th
