GET STUMPED every First Thursday with 45 trivia questions from a variety of categories, designed to astound, gob smack, flummox, baffle, bamboozle, and vex! If you answer just one question correctly, you've done the impossible. If they're all too hard, ya can't say you weren't warned by the very name of the event itself! That said, I have never agreed with a single person I've ever heard say the words "I'm not good at trivia" We all have our niche! We begin around 8:45PM, so arrival by 8:30PM is recommended. We play three games. Show up late to catch the second or third game, or leave after the first or second game if you have an earlier bedtime or somethin' else to do! Prizes will be awarded for each game as well as a grand prize for highest score of the entire night. (It's mostly drinks. This is a bar, after all.) Team size is limited to SIX per team, and admission is FREE. (But buy some drinks. This is a bar, after all.)

I'll also typically do my best to ensure that there's free, fresh popcorn available on-site in basically whatever amount you could wish for. BRING YOUR OWN Bowl or Cup! Show What Ya Know, And Learn What Ya Don't! Every First Thursday at Saint Louis's premiere boutique trivia event, in the #1 bar of downtown: The Crack Fox. It's IMPOSSIBLE TRIVIA.

The Foundry Art Centre is proud to present Missouri Ink, an exhibition examining the powerful visual language of tattoos. Focusing on the artwork of tattoo artists throughout Missouri, this exhibition explores tattoos as a respected art form, highlighting the incredible skill and creativity of the medium.

The Foundry traveled throughout the state to intimately capture Missouri’s tattoo studios and their artists. These photographs allow visitors to get a behind-the-scenes and in-depth view of the shops and their work. Accompanying the photographs will be original watercolor paintings of artistic flash (curated sheets of available, pre-designed tattoos), along with tattooed synthetic arms, hands, and even rubber duckies! The tattooed duckies and selected tattooed arms will be available for purchase through an online silent auction, with proceeds benefitting Bikers Against Child Abuse- St. Louis Chapter.

Over 21 tattoo studios from throughout Missouri are represented in the exhibition, including Alchemy Tattoo Collective, Amor Tattoo and Art Gallery, Arch Nemesis Tattoo, Divine Tattoo Parlor, Electric Unicorn Tattoo Studio, Enigma Tattoo & Body Piercing, Frenchtown Tattoo Company, Good Times Tattoos & Piercings, Hawthorn by Butterbee Tattoo, Heartland Tattoo, Immortal Ink Tattoo Gallery, Iron Tiger Tattoo, Liberation Tattoo, Oasis Studio & Gallery, Old Souls Tattoo Parlour, Pastel Devil Tattoo Studio, Self Inflicted Tattoos, Shirley’s Tattoo, Sign of the Times Tattoo, Steel & Ink Studio, St. Louis Tattoo Company, and Windhorse Tattoo & Gallery.

An opening reception for Missouri Ink will be held on Friday, July 5th, 5-8 p.m., as part of the Foundry’s First Friday series. Art activities, live music, the Foundry bar, and more will be available throughout the night.

Set your passions alight with this steamy opera full of love, seduction, and betrayal.

Follow the fate of Don José, a naïve soldier who falls under the spell of the fiery gypsy Carmen and abandons his duty and his love for Micaëla, a sweet country girl. But Carmen's free spirit and seductive charms lead her to another man, the handsome bullfighter Escamillo, and drive Don José to jealousy and violence.

With unforgettable melodies like the 'Habanera' and the 'Toreador Song', Carmen is a thrilling spectacle of love, lust, and betrayal. Come see why Bizet’s masterpiece of operatic romance and drama is one of history’s most popular operas ever written.

Focal Point welcomes the Wayward Mountaineers’ debut appearance at Focal Point and the release of Jill Jonas’s new CD of original songs, Through the Countryside.

Wayward Mountaineers blur the lines between Folk, Bluegrass, Americana and Old-Time music. The band was founded in 2009 by Michael Jonas, a multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter from High Ridge, Missouri.

Joined with some of the area’s best bluegrass pickers, they enjoyed local success until 2011, when Michael and his family moved to Colorado. The name comes from an original song written by Micheal about a young man who leaves home to chase his mountain dreams.

In 2015 the Wayward Mountaineers name was reborn when Michael and his wife Jill Jonas began performing as a duo. Jill is a talented songwriter, honest vocalist, and anchored guitarist. In 2022,  Jill and Michael’s son Wyatt joined the band to round out the sound on bass. Wyatt is a gifted musician who plays anything from classical to rock and everything in between.

The trio’s vision is to showcase their original music and select covers to honor their greatest influences. They are excited to debut their 2024 release, Jill Jonas – Through the Countryside, a collection of Jill’s original songs featuring Michael and Wyatt along with special guests Jeremiah Evans, Geoff Seitz, Ian Walsh, Jack Petracek, Rachel Draskovich and Oscar Evans.
